Jeff joined Moultray & McMahon after completing his second law degree at the University of Washington School of Law. Prior to obtaining his LLM at UW, Jeff worked as an associate attorney at what is now NLA Legal, and at the nearly century old firm of Geo Isserow & Friedman, right in the beating commercial heart of Johannesburg, South Africa. There, his practice focused on a variety of commercial litigation matters representing large companies in mining, technology, insurance and finance.
While living in South Africa, Jeff benefitted from the mentorship of not one, but two, of the greatest South African lawyers – Barry Whitter and Natalie Lubbe – both of whom enjoy reputations second to none. Only after becoming a father, did Jeff return to the United States to continue his practice of law. Now Jeff uses the extensive litigation experience he gained in South Africa in representing companies and individuals in commercial litigation matters in the Seattle area, primarily in the fields of business and real estate.
Jeff is originally from Garland, TX and served as a combat medic with the 1/41 FA, 1st BCT, 3rd ID during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Later, he obtained his first law degree from the University of South Africa in 2014, then married and bought a house with his beautiful wife Nicole. Today, he lives on Mercer Island with his family. He is fanatical about the game of chess and adores William Shakespeare, the Simpsons and the Linux Operating System.
Jeff offers his clients services in commercial litigation, dispute resolution, starting and planning businesses, contract drafting and review, corporate governance, real estate disputes, financial transactions, compliance, and insurance-related issues.
